根據韓聯社報導，韓國檢方20日起訴閨密門事件的崔順實、前總統幕僚安鐘範與鄭虎成等3人，並直指總統朴槿惠涉嫌共謀作案，在起訴書中表示，朴槿惠在毫無一官半職的崔順實索捐和獲得官方機密文件的過程中扮演了重要角色。
崔順實被控涉嫌向各大企業施壓，並索取鉅額資金，實際出面逼捐的前總統府負責政策協調的首席秘書安鐘範，與涉嫌向崔順實提供政府文件的前總統附屬秘書鄭虎城也一同被起訴。
至於檢方只指控朴槿惠共謀作案，是因韓國憲法第84條規定，現任總統享有刑事豁免權，檢方無法起訴朴槿惠，不過已盛傳檢方將在下週約談朴槿惠。
19日晚間在韓國各地，也舉辦了要求朴槿惠下台的第4次燭光集會，根據南韓警方估計，首爾光化門廣場的集會群眾約有24萬人，全國總計約100萬人參加。
朴槿惠的總統任期在2018年2月24日屆滿，依規定如她在2017年12月20日的總統大選前下台，南韓就必須在60天內舉行總統大選。
